Making Homes Greener In Nottingham

Twelve homes, including five houses and seven bungalows, in Nottingham (Keswick Street) will benefit from improvement works that will increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs. The improvements include:
- An energy efficient heating and hot water system including Air Source Heat Pump
- Super insulated wall panels
- New doors and windows
- Solar panels & solar batteries for energy storage
Work is already under way with the first of the new super energy efficient wall panels craned in and installed on the council homes.
This project is the latest phase of the award winning and pioneering Energiesprong scheme which will see 138 homes in Nottingham benefit from energy efficiency upgrades. The Energiesprong approach, pioneered in the Netherlands, involves upgrading a home with innovative energy efficiency measures to achieve a near net zero home.
