National Park Authority Installs Biomass Boiler

Work has started on the installation of a biomass boiler at Aldern House, the Head Office of the Peak District National Park Authority in Bakewell. Once installed the boiler will provide at lewast 85% of the heat requirements of the building.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Green Guardians Awards

Nottinghamshire-based ommunity groups, schools, individuals and business all have the chance to win an award, £1000 and the title of ‘Green Guardian’ in these annual awards. Categories include ‘Environmental Community of the Year’, the ‘Coping with Climate Change Award’ and an award for new initiatives called ‘First Steps to Sustainability Award’.. Autumn Courses at Derbyshire Eco Centre

The Derbyshire Eco Centre has prublished it’s brochure of courses for the autumn. Courses on offer include Introduction to Renewable Energy, Hedgerow and Autumn Wine Making, and Introduction to Compost Toilets.
