Share Offer to Fund a New Green-Build Community Roundhouse

Shares are now available in a green-build community roundhouse on the site of a community woodland near Melbourne, South Derbyshire.

Whistlewood Common, a social enterprise, is developing a new type of productive community woodland. The project has gained planning permission for the construction of a new community building on the site. The building will have a stage and provide a space for arts, theatre and music events alongside educational workshops and entrepreneurial activities.

Match funding has been obtained for the share offer, meaning that for every pound invested in a share by the public, another pound will be invested (up to £80,000). The total fundraising target is £80,000. Shares can be purchased by individuals, organisations and societies. The minimum investment is £50. Donations are also accepted. The closing date for the share offer is Friday 21 July 2017.
