Living for Tomorrow Issue 14
Living for Tomorrow magazine is all about living: living well and living life to the full. It's also about people, the many people in our communities who aren't just talking about putting the world to rights but are actually getting on and doing it in many different ways.
Hence, the stories cover a variety of popular and everyday topics and themes, but the common link is that they are told through the experiences of the people concerned, inspiring readers to contribute to sustainable development for themselves.
Over a dozen issues have been produced, with a current print run of 14,000 per issue. Over 4,000 people receive the magazine by direct mail and 7,000 copies are delivered to public buildings, many by cycle courier. Living for Tomorrow is available in places such as libraries, hairdressers, dentists, doctors, colleges and communities throughout Nottinghamshire.
Feedback has been very positive, whether from people already directly involved in sustainable development or simply for those to whom much of the content brings new ideas and inspiration. People like stories about local people. The magazine employs freelance photo-journalists and a graphic designer giving high quality images and design, as well as readable copy. It received a Green Apple Award in 2002.
Issue 16 is available from May 2007.
