'Kermit Was Right’ - An Argument Against the Idea That Being Green is Easy

In a speech to the UN, Boris Johnson challenged the message of Muppets character Kermit the Frog. Terry Newholm agrees with Kermit. An opinion paper published in the middle of 2021 reviewed our present environmental situation with the latest data. Using his interpretation of this paper, Terry will argue that the public service script writers for Kermit were right: being green isn’t easy; possible but not easy.

Big Solar Gathering
The Big Solar Co-op, a volunteer-owned co-op and a new approach to subsidy-free community solar, are holding a gathering in Birmingham this Monday. The event will bring together activists and community solar experts for a day of inspiration, practical learning, and action, The Agenda includes:
- Extended clinic sessions for questions on solar design, legal agreements, approaching host sites and more
- New ways to get volunteers involved and support them to deliver solar in their neighbourhood and beyond
- Hands on with solar tech on show to understand the latest panels and inverters
