Lockerbrook Farm Outdoor Activity and Environmental Study Centre
10am-4pm
Lockerbrook Farm is a well established residential outdoor activity centre situated in a stunningly remote location above the Derwent Valley with fantastic views over Ladybower reservoir and Derwent Edge.
Lockerbrook Farm has been lucky enough to receive a Sustainable development grant from the Peak District National Park and our open day is a chance to show off the developments we have been able to achieve with the support of the National Park.
So if you want to see how specially commissioned art works can help reduce energy and water consumption and reduce waste then do come and visit us.
Likewise you can come and see how a map, an orienteering course and a weather station help us communicate key environmental messages to the many children and young people who visit and stay in our centre each year.
You can stay for as long or little time as you want so why not combine your visit with a day out walking or cycling in the Derwent Valley.
Refreshments available:
Tea, coffee, cake and samples of the centres catering. There is free tea and coffee for anyone who walks or cycles to our Open Day
Activities you can take part in:
Tours of the facilities
Introduction to the commissioned art work
Composting and gardening
