Derby City’s New eCargo Bike Scheme

Cycle Derby’s eCargo bikes are now available for businesses to try and half are already in use across the city. Cycle Derby was awarded around £42,000 to buy 8 electric cargo bikes from Department for Transport’s eCargo Bike Grant Fund.
This try-before-you-buy scheme aims to encourage local businesses and organisations to explore more sustainable methods of transporting goods and services around the city centre.
Businesses can loan the eCargo bikes for up to 6 months for free. There are only 4 bikes left so any local businesses interested in trialling them are urged to register their interest by emailing:
