Businesses in the Nottingham area can apply for grants of up to £25,000 to help meet the costs of workplace travel improvements, such as electric vehicle charge points, cycle parking, showers, pool bikes, car sharing and car parking management.
A new £1M fund for community energy has launched.
The Next Generation will offer up grants of up to £100,000 to ten community groups to work on new business models for community energy in their area. The initiative is funded by Power to Change and will be delivered by a multi-disciplinary consortium led by Centre for Sustainable Energy.
Expressions of interest need to be submitted by 13th January 2019.
Electricity North West is offering grants of up to £15,000 for projects which aim to put community and local energy at the heart of communities. They are particularly looking for projects that demonstrate they can deliver one of three priorities:
The funding can be used to support a wide range of activities including producing materials to promote initiatives, supporting staff time or technical expertise, buying equipment or researching a new approach or business model.
The majority of a project’s activity needs to be located within Electricity North West’s (ENW) operating area. NB: most of the geographical area covered by this website is NOT within ENW’s operating area. The local authority areas that are, are High Peak and parts of Derbyshire Dales. If you are unsure if you are covered please contact ENW before submitting an application. Most of the geographical area covered by this website is within the operating area of Western Power Distribution.
