Masterclass
Thursday 9th June, 9.30am – 3.30pm
Organised by Hockerton Housing Project

All new homes will have to reduce 27% less CO2 by June 2022 and will then need to achieve net zero. This is challenging designers and developers to consider more innovative solutions to reduce environmental impact.

The Hockerton Housing Project (HHP) is a small community of five earth sheltered homes built in 1998 on the outskirts of Hockerton, Nottinghamshire, UK. They hope to inspire you to think outside the box with this masterclass. Ideal for developers, self-builders, landowners, planners, architects, buildings services engineers, and other building professionals.

Agenda includes:

  • An overview of government targets for zero carbon homes and standards to meet.

  • Practicalities of achieving and living in zero carbon housing.

  • Strategies and technologies that can be deployed to deliver zero carbon homes
