Transition Chesterfield Celebration and Open Day + AGM

Date:
Sat, 23/06/2012
The Friends Meeting House, 27 Ashgate Road, Chesterfield
2pm-3:30pm for open day, followed by AGM

Transition Chesterfield has now been in existence for four years, which we feel is cause for a celebration. As well as campaigning on environmental issues, attending local fairs and Fun Days to spread our message, running dozens of skill share workshops and selling an awful lot of potatoes at our annual Potato Days, we have obtained funding for and undertaken several large projects. However, we need input to find out what people think are the important issues we should be trying address, and are holding an open meeting so you can come and talk to us about ideas for action.

  • Have you been involved with Transition before but think we should be doing things differently?
  • Do you think we should be concentrating on addressing big issues and making long-term plans, or should we be more concerned about small, local actions? Or both?
  • Would you like to be involved or contribute at some level, but don't know how or what to do?
  • Are we approachable?
  • Can we help you in some way? Over the years we've learnt various skills (e.g. making grant applications) that we would like to share with like-minded groups or people.

On June 23rd we are holding a celebration and open meeting, where you can come along with your ideas about the above, find out what we have done in our first four years, meet us individually, and chat to us over the provided tea/coffee and cake to find out more. We will then hold our AGM.
