Nottingham City Council is holding a consultation on its plans to tackle air pollution. In 2017 the government identified a number of cities where air pollution was too high – including Nottingham – and set them the task of reducing levels of nitrogen dioxide, with targets to be met by 2020 at the latest. The council has since drafted a proposal for meeting these targets and would like to know what residents think before they submit it to the government. The consultation closes on 10th September.
Chesterfield Borough Council has received funding from Gas Safe Charity Hardship Fund to carry out gas safety checks and minor repairs to gas appliances for home owners who meet the Gas Safe charity hardship fund criteria and live in the Chesterfield Borough Council area. The criteria:
