They provide a chance to discuss your community group’s funding requirements with a member of the Foundation’s grant team, get 1:1 support advice on your funding ideas, and get hints & tips to put you on the right path to getting the financial investment you need.

Funding & Networking Meeting for Voluntary and Community Groups

At these sessions you will be able to catch up with the latest funding information and have a facilitated information sharing and networking session.
***  A special feature of these meetings is that Caitlin Bisknell, Leader of High Peak Borough Council, will attend the second hour and is keen to listen to what issues are affecting voluntary and community groups
 
Caitlin especially wants to look at ways of improving the partnership possibilities between the Council and community groups. There will be a chance to pull together common concerns in the first part of the meeting.

Transition 2.0 FIlm Showing

Transition 2.0, a film from the Transition Network, captures inspiring stories from Transition initiatives around the world, showing how groups are responding to uncertain times with creativity, solutions and 'engaged optimism'.

The venue is on Nottingham City Transport purple and lime bus routes, there is level access, and the film is subtitled. There will be an interval with refreshments and time to socialise. '

Potato Day

Transition Chesterfield's annual Potato Day will take place an empty shop unit in The Pavements, Chesterfield.
41 varieties of tubers will be on sale alongside onions, shallots and garlic.
 Last year some varieties sold out early in the day. If you want guarantee you get what you want you can pre-order here: www.transitionchesterfield.org.uk/sites/default/files/file/2013 order form.pdf. Orders can be picked up on the day from The Pavements.
Order places by 10th December will cost 12p/tuber. Orders placed after this, or bought on the day, are likely to cost 14p/tuber, although prices will be finalised nearer the time.
