Get a Free Smart Charger for Your Electric Vehicle

Electric Nation are looking for up to 700 people buying or leasing new electric vehicles to take part in a trial to ensure the UK can charge electric vehicles at peak times as the numbers of electric vehicles rise. Trial participants will get a free smart charger installed at their home. The smart charger is capable of providing demand control services, including altering the rate of charging of your car. The smart charger is much faster and safer than a regular electricity socket and is yours to keep after the end of the Electric Nation trial.

The trial is taking place across most, but not all, of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire – enter your postcode on the website to see if your area is included in the trial:  http://bit.ly/2kkRlM4

Get Involved In a New Renewable Energy Enterprise in North Derbyshire

Are you interested to explore the possibility of setting up a renewable energy enterprise on a not-for-profit basis in Derbyshire? A group has recently formed to do just this, along similar lines to Sheffield Renewables. The group was originally focused on the Hope Valley area but has now extended the area covered by their scheme to the wider North Derbyshire area including Buxton, the rest of High Peak District, Bakewell, Derbyshire Dales, and Chesterfield. If you live in this area and would be interested in joining a steering group, please contact Jeremy Wight.
