The Department for Energy and Climate Change has closed and is now part of the new Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BFIS), effectively a merger of DECC and the former Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). Locally grown fresh and juicy summer fruits are now available to pick or buy from Brooke Farm in Linby. Brooke Farm provides horticultural and other training for people with learning difficulties and is run by Nottinghamshire County Council. Bus passengers in Broxtowe will benefit from quieter, fume-free journey after Nottinghamshire County Council received government funding for two electric buses on the 510 route. The buses, which should be in use within the next 12-18 months, will to serve communities in Stapleford and Beeston.
