Full description
The Middleton Environment Group was formed in 2003 to improve the environment of Middleton.
Middleton is a working village and we would like to see more jobs created locally – to cut carbon emissions and save time on travelling long distances.
The group has previously put on an Environment Weekend, with Environment Agency display trailer, recycling displays, film show on climate change, sculptures from rubbish and events on Middleton Millenium Gardens.
On 12th September, we are organising a Sustainability Day at Stone Wood, in collaboration with Sustainable Wirksworth and the Stone Wood Environment Group. On 27th September, we are holding a harvest supper in aid of Water Aid, at Middleton Village Hall.
